This paper discusses the diagnostic analysis Bowen Rail Company conducted of its personnel’s perception of safety culture through surveys, onsite evaluations, data analysis, and benchmarking. The findings were graded using a Safety Culture Maturity Model which includes a ratings range from Counter productive to Citizenship. The effectiveness, practical application and impact of the recommendations produced from the analysis and Bowen RailÕs collaborative approach to problem-solving, addressing system, context, education, and access is shared along with the organisations path towards influencing Safety Culture within a remote bulk haulage railway.
