The presentation provides an overview of a project that is preparing a full-scale detailed design for a new electrified railway line approximately 18 km in length. This line will provide direct connectivity between the Anaklia port area and the national railway network at Tsatskhvi. Specific goals include the technical integration of the new line with GeorgiaĆs rail infrastructure, implementation of international Safety Management Systems, and ensuring design resilience in a seismically sensitive and hydrologically complex terrain. The project also seeks to create the basis for future modal shift from road to rail transport for cargo destined for the new port.
